At the office of Dr Karen Anderson, we believe in making a difference. During these unusual times, we are committed to safely meeting the needs of our patients and communities.
We are proud to offer patients two options for foot and ankle care:
- In-Office: Safely attend an in-office appointment with our doctor. Our team diligently practices social distancing and screening protocols in addition to our already strict cleaning and disinfecting practices.
Urgent injury or infection? Avoid the ER and help our overworked hospitals! If you have an immediate or urgent foot or ankle problem, call 619-440-2202 and ask for Jen. She will assess your condition by phone and schedule an appointment in our clinic the same or next business day. We have in-house x-ray and can treat a variety of urgent conditions.
- Virtual Care: Have a TeleHealth Visit with Dr. Anderson from the comfort of your home using your smartphone or personal computer (and webcam). Most insurances, including Medicare, are making this available and paid for in the manner of an office visit. There is no additional cost.
The first step is to call and schedule a TeleHealth visit with your provider.
For many people, telemedicine is a convenient and effective way to see their healthcare provider. If you would like to schedule a TeleHealth appointment, please call 619-440-2202. If you are a new patient, have your insurance and personal information ready. We will create an appointment time and date, then send you a link to the practice portal. Enter your information there to register as a new patient. If you are an existing patient, just schedule an appointment. We will then send to you an invitation to the telehealth appointment.
Once you have made the appointment and registered as a patient, make sure you set aside a place that ensures quiet and privacy for the appointment. On the day of the appointment, we will send an email with the necessary links and instructions.
Stay safe. Get well.
We look forward to helping you with your foot problem as quickly and completely as we can. Access to healthcare has DRASTICALLY changed in 2020 since the emergence of the coronavirus outbreak. Join us in making an essential part of your health as safe and available as possible.
